Disqualification will happen if a swimmer faults in any of the following:
- Changes from a horizontal plane on breast, except for on starts and turns
- Arms must move in a simultaneous manner
- Legs must move in a simultaneous manner, they are unable to alternate but can include dolphin, whip, frog
